Where I wait for the sun
Looking east...
-Jackson Browne
I try to run at or around sunrise every morning that I awaken at the beach. When I was a small boy, WPK, Sr. (a notoriously early-riser) used to chastise those who "slept in" by reminding us that, "you'll sleep enough when you're dead", a point I presume he has strove to prove these past four decades. Point taken, Dad.
The early morning is my favorite time of the day. The Tantrum-Thrower-in-Chief's Twitter Tirades notwithstanding, as a general rule the stupidity a given day is going to unpack on us unsuspecting rubes tasked with the challenge of living through it has yet to be unpacked at sunrise. That fact, coupled with the beauty of the ocean at that time of the morning, creates for me a space that I not only want to inhabit but one that I need to inhabit to help me make it through my day-to-day.
I know not how anyone else makes it through theirs. I got mine...

...I hope for your own sake that you got yours as well. And if you have not gotten it yet, then you do so soon.
